A pre-conference social will kick off events on Thursday, Sept. 20, and conference events will take place all day Friday, Sept. 21.
“Having been chosen to host the 2018 YP Iowa Annual Conference is a great honor for Spencer. YP Iowa holds a tremendous conference every year and we plan on continuing that tradition here in Spencer,” Paul Daniels, Young Professionals of the Spencer Chamber of Commerce, stated in a press release. “There are a lot of great things going on in Spencer right now with our young professionals transitioning into influential leadership roles within the community.”
YP Iowa is a statewide organization that seeks to help emerging leaders create environments in their communities that encourage retention of young professionals.
Locally, SpencerUSA promotes Spencer as a great place to live, raise a family and do business.
Young professionals come to YP Iowa’s conference each year for opportunities to build relationships and develop personally. The conference will feature a keynote speaker and breakout sessions.
“The annual YP Iowa Conference is a fantastic opportunity for us to bring young professionals from across the state to network, learn, and to be inspired to keep Iowa one of the best places to live and work in all of the country,” Daniels stated.
The event will occur the week following the Clay County Fair, which ends on Sept. 16. A venue was not announced.
