Opening act announced for Iowa Lakes Community College’s Dancing with the Local Stars

Iowa Lakes Community college has the opening act for this year’s Clay County Dancing with the Local Stars event scheduled for Friday, Nov. 16 and Saturday Nov. 17.

Jade and Julie Beehler will open the event. Jade and Julie participated in the Palo Alto County Dancing with the Local Stars show last March. Julie represented Palo Alto County Hospital.

Other local celebrities participating in the event are: Paul and Candace Daniels, Nathan and Christy Prenzlow, Ryan and Beth Odor, Mary Faber and Dean Jacobsen, Lacey and Torrey Proctor, Nate and Brea Schmidt, Leah and Lee Malstrum, and Cara and Jared Gerlock, are ready to hit the dance floor to strut their stuff and boogie down to raise scholarship funds for Clay County residents who attend any Iowa Lakes Community College campus.

Kevin Tlam and Rhonda Wedeking will serve as emcee and hostess. Judges will be Darby Christensen, Nancy Naeve, Jay Norton, and John Goede.

Two shows will be held at the Clay County Events Center Ballroom in Spencer on Friday, Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov.17. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the event go on sale Monday, Sept. 17 and are expected to sell quickly. All seating is reserved. Everyone is encouraged to get their friends together and join Iowa Lakes for an evening of fun. Tickets are $50 each and include appetizers, desserts and a donation to the scholarship fund.

All proceeds from this event go toward scholarships for students who reside in Clay County and attend Iowa Lakes Community College. These students appreciate the financial support as they pursue their educational goals.
