Well, there’s not a whole lot going on this weekend. School’s in full swing, so that has a ton of people busy. Oh, and the Clay County Fair is just a week away, too.
It’s the calm before the storm.
Remember, the lakes (Labor Day Weekend!) are just a quick drive away, the movie theater’s always a good option and there are plenty of recreational opportunities in Spencer and Clay County. Head to a park, if the weather holds up. Rain is in the forecast.
The calm before the storm could be sort of… stormy.
The market opens at 7:30 a.m. and goes until noon near the South Grand Avenue and 11th Street Southwest intersection.
This week’s theme is Children’s Day at the Riverfront Farmers Market outside The Bear Coffeehouse and Wine Bar, 24 West Park Street. There’s a “Clayton Goes to the Fair” book signing with author Arla Kintigh and illustrator Mandie Muehlhausen. The market is open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
