Drivers suffer minor injuries in two-vehicle accident east of Webb

A two-vehicle accident at the 490th Street and 320th Avenue intersection east of Webb resulted in minor injuries to both drivers Thursday afternoon.

According to an accident report from the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Jeffery Mohr, 58, of Webb, was driving a 2001 Dodge Durango north on 320th Avenue at about 4:50 p.m. Thursday.

At the 490th Street intersection, which is uncontrolled, Mohr’s vehicle collided with a 2003 Chevy Tahoe driven by Michael Kunath, 30, of Spencer.

The accident report stated Mohr broadsided Kunath on the driver’s side. Both vehicles went into the ditch.

Mohr had failed to yield the right of way at an uncontrolled intersection, according to the report, and was given a citation.

The Durango sustained about $10,000 in damage, while Kunath’s Tahoe sustained about $8,000 in damage.


Both were considered total losses.
