Search warrant in Spencer results in drug charges, 3 arrests

The Spencer Police Department and Clay County Sheriff’s Office made three arrests on December 28 following a search of a Spencer residence.

A press release from Spencer police stated the search occurred at 7:48 p.m. A search warrant was served at 1404 Fourth Avenue SW No. 2 in Spencer.

Authorities arrested Cara Anderson, 27, of Spencer. Anderson was charged with possession of methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor; possession of marijuana, a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a serious misdemeanor.

Also arrested were Travis Grote, 41, of Webb, and Jenna Grimmius, 19, of Spencer.

Grote was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

Grimmius was arrested on three outstanding warrants of probation violation.

All three were transported to the Clay County Jail without incident, according to the press release.

The release stated the investigation is ongoing and that additional arrests are expected.
