A Hartley man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia Sunday afternoon after Clay County Sheriff’s deputies initiated a traffic stop and then searched the vehicle.
Christopher Cavin, 40, was arrested after a K-9 search resulted in an alert and drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle.
The sheriff’s office reportedly stopped a vehicle at 3:24 p.m. on Sunday in the 1200 mile of 340th Street.
The deputy requested assistance from the K-9 handler.
Cavin was arrested and transported to the Clay County Jail without incident.
He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
Cavin was held on a $300 cash or surety bond.
