A search last Thursday in Spencer led authorities to discover drug-related items and arrest two people.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office in a press release stated deputies executed a search warrant in the 100 block of West Third Street in Spencer.
Deputies reportedly found drug paraphernalia and two unprocessed marijuana plants that were being grown in a closet.
Deputies arrested Cheryl Lindahl, 58, and Joseph Wendl, 57, both of Spencer.
They were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, a Class D felony; possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor; and drug tax stamp violation, a Class D felony.
The Spencer Police Department assisted the sheriff’s office during the incident.
