A Spencer man earlier this month was sentenced to serve two days in jail, probation and pay associated fines and other costs in a case connected to a domestic incident reported in January.
According to court records, Robert Sports, 38, pleaded guilty to one count of disorderly conduct and another count of OWI, his first.
He received a total jail sentence of 60 days, all but two of which were suspended.
The incident occurred on January 5. According to a press release, the sheriff’s office and Spencer Police Department both responded to the report in the 3600 block of 240th Avenue in Spencer at about 1:40 a.m. that morning.
Spencer police later located and arrested Sports for OWI.
Three counts of child endangerment were dismissed, court records indicated. The disorderly conduct charge was lowered from a count of domestic abuse.
