Three people were arrested Wednesday evening for various drug charges after Spencer police and Clay County sheriff’s deputies found marijuana, THC vape cartridges and drug paraphernalia in an apartment.
The Spencer Police Department reported a search warrant was executed at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at 415 Fourth Avenue West Unit 1.
Authorities found over a pound of marijuana, almost two dozen THC vape cartridges and numerous drug paraphernalia items in the apartment.
As a result of the search, Jose Ramirez, 21, and Kennedy Runkle, 18, both of Spencer, were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, a Class D felony; possession of THC, a serious misdemeanor; failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a Class D felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
Also arrested was Juan Perez, 18, of Spencer. Perez was charged with possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia and second offense possession of marijuana, an aggravated misdemeanor.
All three were taken to the Clay County Jail without incident.
