Disturbance call leads to arrest

A Spencer man was arrested Monday night after he reportedly disobeyed Clay County Sheriff’s deputies’ orders to return to his home and then attempted to grab one deputy’s arm.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office reported Ismael Leon Rodriguez, 36, was seen yelling obscenities at a neighbor’s home near 1810 350th Street at about 8:45 p.m.

Deputies had been called to the address in reference to the man causing a disturbance.

After deputies told him “multiple times” to return to his home, according to a report, Leon Rodriguez tried to grab a deputy’s arm and was arrested.

Leon Rodriguez was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and interference with official acts.

He was held in the Clay County Jail to appear before a magistrate judge.
