Knife pulled in Dickens altercation; one arrested

A Dickens man was arrested late June 13 after the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa State Patrol responded to an altercation in the 4000 block of 310th Avenue.

A news release from the sheriff’s office stated Tyler Sturgill, 25, was accused of giving a man a fat lip and then pulling a knife on the man.

Authorities investigated and arrested Sturgill at about 11:48 p.m.

He was arrested for carrying weapons and domestic abuse assault displaying or using a dangerous weapon. Both are aggravated misdemeanors.

Sturgill was held without bond to appear before a magistrate judge in court.
