Multiple people injured after minivan strikes railroad crossing arm

Multiple people were injured Monday shortly after noon when the minivan they were in struck a railroad crossing arm.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office reported the accident occurred just after 12:30 p.m. Monday in the 2400 mile of 350th Street.

According to a report, Anthony Daniel La Fon, of Rolfe, was driving a 2005 Saturn Relay east on 350th Street when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a railroad crossing arm.


Multiple people in the van were injured, the report stated.

The report did not indicate how many people were injured and did not specify who was injured.

Damage to the minivan was estimated to be worth about $6,500.


Charges are pending, according to the report.
