Both drivers receive minor injuries in two-vehicle accident

Two people received minor injuries in an accident Sunday at the 250th Avenue and 380th Street intersection.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office reported that the accident happened at about 11:45 a.m.

That’s when a 2014 Dodge Dart being driven east through the intersection by Kyle Bruns, 28, struck a 2014 Dodge Caravan owned by the United States Postal Service that was traveling north through the intersection.

Both Bruns and the van driver, 36-year-old Sarah Rinken, were observed on-scene by medical personnel for minor injuries.

The Dart sustained severe damage and was considered totaled, according to authorities.

The Grand Caravan sustained severe and disabling damage.

The sheriff’s office was assisted by Dickens Fire and Rescue, Spencer Hospital ambulance and Bud’s Service.
