A Spencer woman with an active warrant was arrested early Thursday morning and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia at the time of her arrest.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office stated in a news release that Samantha Jo Bauler, 27, was a passenger in the vehicle that a deputy stopped in the 1900 mile of 350th Street.
The deputy found Bauler had an active warrant. She was arrested at 3:34 a.m. and taken to the Clay County Jail.
While being arrested, Bauler was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, the sheriff’s office stated. She was charged with possession of methamphetamine, a serious misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
Bauer’s arrest warrant was for a case involving a charge of possession of methamphetamine in January, per court records.
Bauer was held on a $2,000 cash or surety bond following her being booked into the jail.
Court records indicate she posted bond later Thursday.
