Clay County COVID-19 case count increases to nine

The Iowa Department of Public Health confirmed Clay County’s ninth case of COVID-19 on Friday.

The department (IDPH) reported that 184 people have now been tested in the county. Eight of those people were tested on Thursday.

Several other counties also saw increases in their confirmed COVID-19 case counts on Friday.

Buena Vista County’s total increased to 32. Tyson Foods in Storm Lake has confirmed its plants have seen outbreaks, though an exact number of cases has not been shared.

Palo Alto County saw its first confirmed case on Friday.

O’Brien and Osceola counties each saw their case totals increase by one. O’Brien County now has 13 confirmed COVID-19 cases, while Osceola County has 18.
