About Tim Weideman:
Tim Weideman moved to Spencer from Manhattan, Kan., in July 2015 after his wife accepted a job in Spencer. In Kansas, Weideman spent about 2.5 years working as a newspaper beat reporter – first for the Junction City Daily Union, then the Manhattan Mercury. He then worked for CivicPlus, a company that creates city and county government websites, for about six months.
Weideman graduated from the Drake University School of Journalism and Mass Communication in 2012, majoring in news/Internet journalism. During his last two years attending college in Des Moines, Weideman was also the editor of The Iowa Sports Connection Magazine.
